COMPANY OVERVIEW

SES Risk Solutions is a leading, tech-enabled provider of insurance services for large portfolios of real estate. SES has insured more than 185,000 assets and currently services more than 75,000 properties nationwide for fiduciaries and owners and managers of single-family rentals utilizing master policies. For more than 30 years, we have offered competitive and comprehensive insurance products with unparalleled service, and technology platforms for residential, commercial, farm, and land properties held in trusts.

In early 2014, SES expanded its product offerings and tailored its technology platform to address the evolving insurance needs of real estate investors, who invest in residential properties with one to four units, in the REO to rental market. Our focus on service, empowered by technology enables us to bring a distinctive brand of expertise to the marketplace, which helps our broker partners and their clients gain a powerful competitive advantage.

Who we are is even more important than what we do. SES aims to be a distinct company. Our goal is for every member of the SES team to feel energized, engaged, and respected as a critical part of our success. We believe that by honoring and treating our employees well, our team will reciprocate by providing outstanding service to our clients. We also believe that when our employees feel valued and fulfilled at work, we support their greatest potentials of being better spouses, parents, friends, and members of their communities. This combination can build a team of ambitious difference makers.

SES is proud to be a socially engaged organization, active in the community, and creating the platform for team members to make lasting differences in their own communities. Each employee is encouraged to participate in the 40 company-paid community service hours, in addition to multiple company-sponsored service projects each year. Many employees use the full 40 hours of volunteer time and are grateful to have the extra time to serve in their communities. SES is the pioneer of the trust insurance market; we are the first company to provide this service since 1988. We try to honor our legacy each day as we look to find new and innovative strategies to help our clients achieve their goals, while generating long-term sustainability for our risk-bearing partners.

My favorite part about working at SES is witnessing employee recognition for outstanding work that embodies the ‘cooperative and competitive’ spirit. At SES, there is a collective understanding that every partnership has value and every interaction matters. There’s a whole-hearted willingness to listen attentively, share ideas in a purposeful manner, and embrace differences in opinion respectfully.

In my time at SES, I’ve grown personally and learned how to communicate and manage my time and money. I’ve also learned how to be more patient. Professionally, I have grown in my positions from Software Engineer to Senior Principal Engineer to now managing all the projects

“I’ve grown tremendously over the past two years here at SES. With this being my first corporate job out of college, the managers, especially Fran, invested in me and helped me grow into the professional I am today. Being one of the youngest in the office, I’d doubt myself and my capabilities and was hesitant in the past to voice my opinions. Now I believe in myself more and focus on developing and using my strengths.”

“At SES, I’m not confined to one role. I have the ability to collaborate with individuals in other areas of the company which has allowed me to view how the company works as a whole. This knowledge also allows me to leverage ideas from other departments and gain a better understanding of decision-making and strategy.”

“I have been working at SES for more than ten years and my journey is rewarding and fulfilling. SES has an open culture, flexible work environment, and a supportive and caring management team. I appreciate that our company cares about the community and encourages us to do the same. My favorite part of SES culture is when we all come together for team-building activities at different voluntary events.”

“SES endowed me with the best mentors and colleagues, who assisted, supported, and guided me to grow professionally as well as personally. My manager and seniors played a major role in bringing out the best in me. A collaborative culture is empowering—it allows everyone to bring their best to the table. What I love most about my job is the people I work with and the freedom to explore and implement new technologies.”

We have such a diverse group, both professionally and culturally, and it really allows for collaboration from many different levels. It is truly refreshing to work with a group of individuals that actually care about the culture and live it daily.”

“My favorite part of the work day at SES is learning from one another and working with genuinely kind and talented people. I’m constantly inspired by the wealth of knowledge the SES team exudes.”

“My favorite part of the work culture is celebrating each other’s successes and personal milestones like graduation, citizenship, and weddings; they are all recognized and celebrated company wide. There is a lot of unity and diversity within the group. I also love the casual conversations and laughter with team members from different parts of the globe before and after sprint meetings and the buzz during design discussions as we brainstorm interesting scenarios and options.”

“I love that there is no micro managing from senior management. They trust that I know how to do my job and will do it to the best of my abilities. That trust alone allows me to rise to be the best employee and not let the company down. I also appreciate the encouragement for continued education that I receive. The company provides learning opportunities, covers expenses for licenses, certificates, and other applicable CE goals.”

“What I love most about my job is collaborating with my team and finding creative solutions for our clients. Some of my favorite things about SES as a working mother is the flexibility and accommodations they provide. I am very thankful to be a part of such a great company!”

“The friendships/relationships I have developed will stay with me throughout my lifetime. My colleagues continue to inspire and encourage me. Although I am a long time employee, I continue to gain knowledge from everyone around me. I thoroughly enjoy onboarding our new hires and look forward to new perspectives to our current practices.”

“SES provides an environment where an employee can grow, provides freedom to share their ideas, and invests in them. I enjoy our creative meetings and am always amazed by how diverse the solutions to some problems can be. I also love our time in the break room! We laugh a lot!”

“In my SES team, I have learned that there is more than one way to reach an end goal, and solutions don’t always have to be black and white. Everyday I learn something new and grow both as an individual and a professional.”
